What You Should Be Aware Of

We do recommend to book in as we are a busy studio and can’t always guarantee we will have space available for walk-ins, however we always welcome them when we can.

You can visit the studio anytime from 12-7 pm from Monday to Sunday and we can have a consultation and arrange a booking for you. Alternatively we can have a chat over the email or our Facebook page and we can guide you through the process. We do require a deposit to book you in and the deposit will vary depending on the size of your piece. This deposit will come off your final price of the tattoo. When booking in please provide us with reference images of what you are looking to get done along with the size and placement. If you don’t have any images, give us a clear description and include as much information as possible so we can assure we book you in with the right artists for the right amount of time.

It is not necessary but we do advise to book it in when you are booked in for bigger pieces and projects so you can discuss your ideas with the artist.

Custom means we do not provide you with a range of readymade tattoos to choose from, Dublin Ink try to provide each client with a personalised piece instead.

We have a strict 18+ policy in the shop for tattoos and a valid proof of ID is required on the day of your tattoo.
It is very important that you have a good night sleep before coming in to have a tattoo done and that you don’t go out drinking the night before. We recommend to take a shower before coming in and wearing clean and comfortable clothing as careful hygiene practice starts the minute you walk in the door. When choosing your outfit be mindful of the placement of your tattoo, you might have to take off certain items of clothing to make things more comfortable for the tattoo and yourself as Dublin Ink is an open studio. Make sure you have food before the appointment and that you bring snacks and a bottle of water with you as well.
We provide every client with a special wrap called Saniderm.
In almost all cases, yes, however there are a few exceptions to this rule. So for your safety, if you are in doubt: ask your G.P for a doctor’s note. This will outline your health status in relation to a tattoo and help us give you the correct after-care. If you have a rash, burn, broken skin, or sunburn in the area that will be tattooed, you must wait until the skin has healed before we can tattoo you. It is possible to tattoo over scar tissue but an in person consultation is required to determine if that is possible.
Due to health reason we will not tattoo you if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you would like to know more about this let our staff know and they will be happy to assist you.
We are child friendly however if you are the one getting the tattoo it is required that there is another adult that can mind your children, as our duty is to care for you and not your children. We ask that you consider the circumstances when bringing any minors with you.
